Module · Domains per country

One store, its own domain per country

yourstore.nl for the Netherlands, yourstore.de for Germany, yourstore.fr for France — the same products, the same stock, the same customers. Opening a new country takes one DNS record and three checkboxes.

Domains per country

Locally visible, centrally managed

A .de domain ranks better in Germany than a /de folder on a Dutch domain, and a French customer trusts yourstore.fr more than yourstore.nl. Uvoria makes that possible without a second store: every domain is a face of the same store.

Add a domain in three checkboxes

Add a domain, pick the languages it carries, the default language and the region (for hreflang). Point the DNS at Uvoria; the link is checked every quarter hour and the SSL certificate arrives by itself. A bare domain next to www? That is an alias that redirects permanently.

  • CNAME or A record, both work
  • Let's Encrypt certificate without manual work
  • Aliases for www, old domains and transition periods

Language per domain, enforced

Each domain only carries its own languages. If someone opens the Italian version on the Dutch domain, Uvoria redirects with a 301 to the Italian domain — on the same page. Existing rankings move along and duplicate content never appears.

  • The language switcher on every domain shows all languages and jumps from country to country
  • Same language in two countries? Regions like de-DE and de-AT keep them apart

Google sees one site in several countries

Every page carries hreflang links to all other countries and languages, with one x-default to your main site. Per domain its own sitemap, robots.txt and canonical. Search engines understand the relationship and show the right domain per country.

  • Sitemap index per domain, only its own languages
  • Canonical per host, never cross-wise

One customer, all countries

Customer accounts belong to the store, not to the domain. Whoever has an account on the Dutch domain logs in on the French domain with the same password; order history, addresses, favourites and loyalty points come along. E-mails point to the domain the customer was on.

One stock, one administration

No second store to maintain separately: every domain sells from the same stock, orders land in one picking lane, invoices in one series and the accounting books the right VAT per country through OSS.

Switching without a gap

A transition alias keeps serving the old domain itself for a while — with noindex and canonical to the new one — until the DNS has changed everywhere. Old URLs get a redirect, per language too.

How it works

Opening a new country

1

Domain

Register the domain and set two DNS records: www as a CNAME to Uvoria, the bare domain as an A record.

2

Add

In Uvoria: add the domain, choose language and region, alias for the bare domain. Verify — done.

3

Move the language

Untick the language at the main domain; the old URLs now redirect to the new country.

4

Search Console

Create a property for the domain and submit the sitemap. Hreflang does the rest.
